Lavender Library is our queer book club for people who enjoy reading and talking about what they read with other thoughtful humans.

This month’s theme is “Books You Love to Hate.”

You know the ones. The book everyone raves about but you just couldn’t stand. The novel you finished purely out of stubbornness. The character you still have strong opinions about years later.

For this discussion, you’re invited to bring a book that frustrated you, disappointed you, or just didn’t land the way you hoped. Sometimes the most interesting conversations come from the stories that challenge us, irritate us, or leave us arguing long after the final page.

Lavender Library isn’t about literary expertise - it’s about curiosity, reflection, and good conversation. Whether you have a full critique ready or just a lingering feeling about a book you couldn’t get through, you’re welcome here. Bring your book (or just the title), your thoughts, and your favorite hot take.

What to expect:

-A cozy, neurodivergent-friendly discussion space

-Gentle structure + opt-in conversation

-Room for big feelings, humor, and nuance

Tickets will be available at the door for at $5 donation.

DRESS CODE

When it comes to attire, we want to encourage comfort and expression at Wicked Eden. We want you to feel comfortable and in the mood to have an adventure! We want you to feel safe expressing yourself in whatever you desire. We encourage you to go outside your comfort zone with festive, outrageous, or fantastic clothing you never get to wear anywhere else.
